Are you a business-minded individual with a strong connection to the South Hams? We would love to hear from you.

Kingsbridge & Saltstone Caring supports elderly, vulnerable and isolated people in Kingsbridge, Salcombe and the surrounding area. Our charity brings hope, companionship, and practical help to those who need it most.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has business experience – whether in management, marketing, fundraising, finance or leadership
  • Maintains local contacts or networks in Kingsbridge, Salcombe or the wider South Hams area
  • Works well as part of a collaborative team

As a trustee you will:

  • Attend monthly board meetings
  • Help raise the profile of the charity
  • Support efforts to raise funds and secure grants

Kingsbridge and Saltstone Caring

Kingsbridge and Saltstone Caring is a registered charity whose aim is to promote the independence, physical and mental well-being of older, isolated or vulnerable people living in Kingsbridge, Salcombe and the surrounding area.They do so by providing services not normally available through statutory agencies.

Services are delivered by a team of volunteers, keen to provide friendship and support to those who need it. Their volunteers have the opportunity of using their life skills and experiences, finding fulfilment in making a difference.

The benefits of this service can be an improved sense of well-being and reduced feelings of isolation, as well as the preservation of independence for as long as possible, this can delay or avoid the need to move into a retirement home
