We’ve got big news!
After many years as the Kingsbridge, Salcombe & Modbury Chamber of Commerce, we’ve rebranded as the South Hams Chamber, a name that proudly reflects who we are and the communities we serve.
This change is more than cosmetic. It marks a step forward for a Chamber that already supports businesses across the district, from Yealmpton to Stoke Fleming, Kingsbridge, Salcombe, Ivybridge, Modbury and everywhere in between.
It’s still the same team and commitment to local business. But now with a fresh new name and a digital platform built to better connect our members and amplify what they do.
Why we rebranded
Last summer, the Chamber committee voted to expand our scope, reflecting the progress we’ve made and the direction we’re heading next.
With a growing membership and increased activity across the South Hams, we needed a name and brand that matched our wider reach and renewed focus.
We also refreshed our mission:
“To make doing business in the South Hams a great experience year-round for our members.”
Whether you’ve been with us for years or have just joined, this is a space where every business can be seen, supported, and connected.
A new look that reflects our community
As part of the rebrand, we launched a bold new identity and logo that celebrates the South Hams and the people who power it.
Our new look brings together the lush greens of the countryside, the coastal blues of our shoreline, and the diverse industries and communities we represent. While it’s a fresh design, we’ve kept a subtle nod to our heritage, evolving the old logo into something more modern, inclusive and confident.
It’s not just about looking better, it’s about showing up better for our members.
What’s new?
Alongside the name change, we’ve launched a new website with powerful tools to help members connect, collaborate and raise their profile:
- A fully editable Business Directory to showcase your services
- The ability to share your own events with the wider network
- A new Jobs Board to support recruitment and growth
- Member-only forums and industry groups to connect between meetings
- Opportunities to apply for donations to support local business initiatives
We’ve made it easier to stay visible, stay in touch, and get more out of your membership, even if you can’t always attend an event.
We’ve got some great plans, and we’re building a Chamber that reflects the energy, creativity and collaboration happening right here in the South Hams.
And let’s be honest – the new name is a lot easier to say!
