Chamber Members

For SHC members, committee members, and staff, we store your name, address, telephone number, email address, social media profiles, and relevant company information on a secure website database and a password-protected computer file. These details may be visible on the public business directory featured on our website. SHC will not share your information with any third parties. Members are encouraged to share updates with other members via the Chamber Secretary.

Please note: the SHC website does not store any payment information. All payments are processed securely through third-party providers such as Stripe or GoCardless.

SHC Email Service

By becoming a member of the South Hams Chamber, you agree to receive updates, event information, and offers that may be relevant to your business. You may opt out of these communications at any time by contacting us, although we may still contact you about essential matters relating to your membership.

Non-Members

We collect non-member information through networking (e.g. business cards, event registrations) or via enquiries submitted through our website or directly to the Secretary. This data may be added to our prospect database for the purposes of responding to enquiries or inviting new members to join.

If you are not a current member, you may opt out of communications at any time. We do not share non-member data with third parties. All such data is reviewed every six months and securely deleted when no longer relevant or accurate.
