I am a paper and ceramic artist based in South Hams creating marine art with a passion for the ocean, inspired by coastal living and volunteering at the National Marine Park, Plymouth Sound.
My signature shoals of paper fish are individually mounted in relief on painted panels and I have a lot of fun with design and creating surface pattern with acrylics and foiled papers. I use paper clay for framed ceramic shoals and am researching and developing a new low fire paper clay and low fire glazes as I look to reduce kiln firing temperatures and schedules.
In The Good Blue News Art Project I share stories of ‘good ocean news’ emerging from brilliant work being done by the National Marine Park and at marine reserves across the world.
My work is shown in exhibitions and at several galleries in the southwest and I am a member/associate of Westcountry Potters’ Association, Salcombe Art Club, Totnes Potters, Penwith Society of Arts and Crafts Council Directory.
